Fall: Fun, Football, and Hockey!
This is my favorite time of the year. The leaves are getting ready to change and the temps are cooling off. Football is well underway, and hockey is about to start back up after a year hiatus! It’s time to sit back and watch some football on the weekends!
For once, I’m actually more excited about the Detroit Lions than the Michigan Wolverines this year! The last couple of years I’ve thought the Lions would have better seasons, but they always led to disappointment. This year seems different. It feels like there’s more of a buzz and more excitement with the Lions this year. I think the players have higher expectations, so they won’t settle for disappointments. At least I hope so.
The defense is a lot better too, which should help out the offense. It’s all on Joey’s shoulders. He has the talent surrounding him now. As long as the offensive line gives him more time than they did last week against Green Bay, it should be a good year to be a Lions fan.
Ok, I eat my words… The Lions are playing terrible vs. Chicago right now. They need to be able to have the heart and teamwork to to put this loss behind them and play hard for the rest of the season. They can’t play good if they let all the turmoil and disappointment shadow the team, like they have in the past. And yeah, Nick, an o-line would be nice!
I am sorry to come here and gloat but the CHICAGO BEARS spanked the Lions
Now since the Bears lost and the Lions didn’t play, the Lions inherited 1st place in the NFC North. Something’s not right about that division!
Out of post here, but just wanted to say “Thank God for that sweetest day note to the right there!” That’s gonna save my butt!
I just had to come back and say.
Bears are #1
Your couch is someone that the Bears fired… and I am just LMAO!
Yeah, the Lions are terrible. I miss the days when Barry was playing, because with him there was always the chance to see a big run no matter what the score was. Now we don’t even have excitement like that.
