High Gas Prices = Slower Driving

10:05 pm

I’ve been noticing a lot lately that since the gas prices are so high, most people are driving slower on the expressway. I never thought most people would change their driving habits because of the prices. But it looks like they are, at least where I live. I wonder if it’s the same in higher traffic areas near big cities.

Well, I have to say that I’ve personally been driving slower too, right around the speed limit instead of at least a few over. With a couple of exceptions, I haven’t really seen many people zooming by me. I’m just glad that I still have my car and didn’t get a truck like I was thinking about awhile back.

I’ve slowed down over the past year, but not because of the gas prices. I used to drive 10-15, sometimes 20 over the limit on a consistent basis. After getting off my parents insurance 6 months ago though I’ve cooled off and try to keep it at 7-8 over the limit. I just don’t want to pay a traffic ticket and the higher insurance costs, so I can handle taking a few extra minutes to get places.

ummm I guess this doesn’t apply for me since I got 2 tickets in the last month :P but I’m more of a slow driver now

Wow…up to $2.99/gallon today! When is this going to stop?

I’ve heard that it could end up hitting $4/gallon! Who knows?
