Tahquamenon Falls

10:15 pm

My brother and I in the Tahquamenon FallsLast weekend I went camping at the Tahquamenon Falls in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I haven’t gone camping in a few years, so I had a great time. Well great other than all the horse flies! I forgot my camera, but fortunately my cousin had his video camera with him.

I visited the falls with my family when I was younger, but this time I appreciated it much more. That’s because this time I acted like a kid and climbed all around the falls. This picture is of me and my brother standing under one of the lower falls. The water felt real nice on my back!

Batman Begins

8:50 pm

Batman BeginsWow, what a great movie. I’ve never been a huge fan of the Batman movies. Don’t get me wrong, they were good, just not great. Batman Begins beats them all by a mile. I think the big reason is that everything is portrayed so realistically. Every character seems like a real person, the events seem believable, and you can see everyone’s motives. You understand where Bruce Wayne is coming from, and you see why the villains believe in what they are trying to do. This movie does a great job getting you sucked into the storyline.

It looks like a sequel to Batman Begins is in the works. Read about it here or here. I am looking forward to it already!

People’s Behavior

12:34 pm

I came across this quote today, and I thought it makes a good point:

People’s behavior always makes sense to them.

What do you think about this?

Home Again

6:29 pm

I got back home from Atlanta last Wednesday. It was nice being there again. The weather was hot and real humid, but I hear that it was about the same in Michigan. While there I looked around for apartments and tried to get a grasp on what areas seemed nice to me. I’m planning to move to Atlanta sometime just before or just after the 4th of July. If I don’t have any job prospects before I move, I’m going to get a part-time job to make ends meet.

On a side note, I was able to watch the Pistons while I was gone, so that was good! I went to a bar in Decatur with my friend Matt to watch game 6 of the Conference Finals against the Miami Heat. I was glad that the Pistons dominate the game, but I was surprised how many people were actually cheering for Detroit. I felt like I was at some local bar in Michigan!!
