Regrets

4:12 pm

Do you ever look back and regret the decisions you’ve made—anything from the little things to the big ones? Most people probably do to some extent. Lately, I’ve been looking back at what choices I’ve made. Although the decisions I made weren’t really bad, I sometimes wish I would’ve done things a little differently. Specifically, I feel that during college I didn’t gain enough experience in the computer field. Nearly every job lead that I find wants you to have several years of experience. I look back and regret the experience I could have gained.

But I’ve come to decide that you have to make the best of the decisions you’ve already made. You can’t live a life of regret, or you will be down all the time.

My Addiction

12:26 am

EyeI have a problem. It haunts me every day, almost all day long. It robs me of my life, keeping me from thinking on my own. It keeps me from getting enough sleep. My life is completely focused on it. I don’t know what I would do without it. My problem: I have an Internet addiction.

Snowfest 2005

12:36 am

Snowfest SketchTonight Derek, Mike, and I started snow carving at Zehnder’s Snowfest in Frankenmuth. We’re sculpting a person sitting with his hands crossed on his knees (see the sketch). The weather forecast says it is going to be around 38° and sunny each of the next few days while we sculpt. That’s nice for people coming to look at the sculptures, but it’s a little warm to work on them… so we’ll probably do most of our work at night. Hopefully all goes well!! We get done Saturday morning, so I’ll post pictures sometime after that!

Update (2/5/05): We finished sculpting at 10:00 this morning, but we stayed up all night to finish it. We actually weren’t behind schedule, but because of the weather we wanted to work on it at night. Early this morning we slowly worked on different parts to make sure it was how we wanted it. So, since I’m really tired, I didn’t end up taking any pictures. I’m hoping to find someone who will have some nice pictures of the sculptures.
